My work is driven by the color black, serving as the catalyst for both minimalism and maximalism in my pieces. I explore the concept of opposites through the design of shapes and colors, incorporating cut-up past pieces to add texture and depth. My process begins with adding texture to the canvas, allowing the movement to guide the creation of sheer layers of paint that capture feelings and expressionism.

As I immerse myself in each scene, I am drawn to the challenge of deciphering and making sense of the disjointed aspects of my life since my brain injury disability many years ago. The unpredictability and endless possibilities of each painting inspire me to push boundaries and explore new directions.

My technique involves recycling elements from previous paintings, collaging them onto new creations to create a unique blend of acrylic abstract painting and mixed media. This layering technique adds depth and complexity to my work, making each piece a reflection of my journey as an artist and my journey towards recovery and reconstruction. Ultimately, my art is a manifestation of my ongoing exploration of contrasts, textures, and the essence of my creative process intertwined with my personal journey towards healing and growth.
